So, in life's journey, setting a destination, a goal is important but DEFINITELY not enough.
The of kind of destination, the goal I choose will determine the kind of person I become.
So the big question, the big search is:
Which is the goal, the destination to bring out the best in me to inspire me to give my best to all I touch the goal to lead me to the fountain of ultimate fulfillment?

This destination has to be identified... accepted from deep within... made a part of life...

Martin Luther King once spoke of finding a reason, a purpose in life for which one's ready to take a bullet Viktor Frankl referred to those with a higher purpose when discussing Holocaust survivors. And some 2000 years back, Christ spoke of a merchant who sold all he possessed to buy that one pearl of high value!

Have we found that one purpose in life for which we're ready to take a bullet? Is my puny individual life associated with a grand, higher purpose? Have we found that one pearl of high value?

If we have, we must rejoice.
If not as yet, then we must be on this quest.
Lest we become kids, entertained by a string of toys but happy and satisfied with none

May we all find that one pearl to energize us to cut out life's clutter and reach out for the ultimate heights of sharing and doing both the good and the great to the honor of the One who gave us Life on this beautiful planet!

Highway Life & That One Pearl

Is life a journey?
Many accept so such a beautiful thought.
Then what is the destination, the ultimate goal?
Have we examined and charted out a route, a path?
Have we set our milestones?
Milestone 2008 is past. What does it say?
Are we closer to our ultimate goal? Or are we farther away?
What about Milestone 2009? Will it take us closer or farther?
Depends on what we plan, what we do.

Something interesting

Greek philosopher Aristotle said:

Man's life has meaning only when he reaches out and strives for his goals

But what I found best is this

Julius Erving:

Man's life has meaning only when he reaches out and strives for his goals
